Data residency

Your data never leaves your tenant.

Forms 365 does not operate its own data storage. When a user submits a form, the response goes directly into a SharePoint list inside your Microsoft 365 tenant. DevPros never receives your form data.

For Australian organisations, this means your data stays in the Azure region where your Microsoft 365 tenant is hosted. Microsoft 365 business and enterprise plans support Australian data residency, storing data in datacentres located in New South Wales and Victoria.

This architecture is relevant for organisations operating under the Australian Privacy Act 1988, the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme, state government information security standards, or sector-specific requirements in healthcare, finance, or legal services.

Built here, supported here

Australian support. Australian hours.

Forms 365 is built by DevPros, an Australian software company. Support runs during AEST business hours, not UTC+0 or US time zones. When something needs fixing, you are talking to the people who built it.

Most global alternatives are headquartered in Europe or the United States. Support queries submitted at the start of your working day may not receive a response until your afternoon. Forms 365 support works in your time zone.

Pricing is quoted in AUD. Invoices come from an Australian entity. GST is handled correctly for Australian organisations.

Australian use cases

Who uses Forms 365 in Australia

State government agencies

Replace legacy InfoPath forms and Power Apps with a modern SharePoint form designer. No data leaves the Microsoft 365 environment. Compatible with Australian Government hosting requirements.

Healthcare providers

Collect patient intake, staff compliance declarations, and incident reports. Submissions stay in your tenant, not a third-party database. Relevant for organisations under My Health Records Act obligations.

Legal and professional services

Client intake, matter opening, and conflict-check forms that write directly to your Matter List in SharePoint. Sensitive client data never touches an overseas server.

Construction and infrastructure

SWMS declarations, contractor inductions, and site incident reports. Publish a QR code on site — workers submit from their phone without a Microsoft account.

Universities and TAFEs

Student enrolment, clinical placement compliance, and staff request forms. Data stays in your Microsoft 365 Education tenant, in the Azure region you have committed to.

Local government councils

Resident submissions, DA objection forms, and internal council processes. Public forms with no Microsoft login. Internal forms without Power Apps licensing overhead.

Privacy Act alignment

Australian Privacy Act 1988 and Forms 365

The Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Privacy Act) governs how Australian Government agencies and many private sector organisations collect, use, and store personal information. A key obligation is ensuring personal information is not transferred overseas without the consent of the individual or appropriate protections in place.

Forms 365 is designed to keep personal information within your Microsoft 365 tenant. DevPros does not receive form submission data. There is no transfer of data to DevPros servers, and no third-country data transfer involved in the form submission process itself.

Your Microsoft 365 tenant's data residency controls remain in effect. For Australian Microsoft 365 tenants committed to Australian datacentres, form responses stored as SharePoint list items remain in Australian Azure infrastructure.

Note: This is not legal advice. Consult your privacy officer or legal counsel to confirm compliance with obligations specific to your organisation.
