The default SharePoint list form has not changed meaningfully since SharePoint Online launched. It is a single-column, unstyled vertical stack of fields. No conditional logic, no layout control, no way to make it match your organisation's look.

The official replacement is Power Apps. But Power Apps requires a separate licence, a Canvas app, and a developer. For a team that just wants a better-looking form that saves to a SharePoint list, the complexity is entirely out of proportion to the job.

We built Forms365 Workspace to close that gap: a no-code drag-and-drop designer that deploys inside your Microsoft 365 tenant with no extra licence, no developer, and no Canvas app. The form writes directly to your SharePoint list, exactly the way the default form does, but with the experience your team actually deserves.

Once a team starts collecting data in SharePoint, they inevitably hit the same wall: they need to collect from someone outside the organisation. A customer, a contractor, a job applicant, a supplier. SharePoint requires authentication. The outside world does not have a Microsoft account.

The standard workaround is chaining Microsoft Forms with a Power Automate flow to copy responses into SharePoint. It works, but it adds two tools, a dependency on a flow that breaks silently when columns change, and a Microsoft Forms experience that has nothing to do with your brand.
