Why the timing prompts a look
Two Microsoft deadlines have moved a lot of SharePoint forms conversations along. Microsoft retired the SharePoint Add-In model in April 2026, so forms built on that older model needed to move. On premises, SharePoint Server 2016 and 2019 reached end of support on 14 July 2026, and Nintex for SharePoint on those versions reached end of life at the same time. Nintex has its own migration path for customers staying on its platform. If you are already rebuilding forms because of these dates, it is a sensible moment to weigh up what else is out there.
