The short version
Both replace the SharePoint list form properly, and both keep your data in your own tenant. Forms 365 differs on being Australian-built and supported, on drafting forms with AI, and on covering internal and public forms from one vendor. If none of those matter to you, this comparison will not repay much of your afternoon.
Credit where it is due
Infowise Ultimate Forms is an established product with a broad feature set, and it markets itself as an InfoPath replacement, which it reasonably is. A comparison page is only useful if something specific is making you look, so the honest first question is what that something is.
Where Forms 365 is different
A local team, in your time zone
Forms 365 is built and supported in Australia, by DevPros on the Gold Coast and in Brisbane, so the team behind the product is in your time zone. For some Australian buyers that is the whole decision.
Where the form data sits
Submissions are written into a SharePoint list in your own Microsoft 365 tenant, next to the rest of your SharePoint data, and Forms365 Workspace runs inside that tenant as an SPFx solution with no Power Apps licence involved. Infowise is also a SharePoint add-in writing to your lists, so this is not a point of difference between us. Confirm it for any vendor you shortlist, because not every forms product works this way.
AI does the first draft
Describe the form you need, or hand it an existing PDF, and Forms 365 drafts the fields and sensible types for you to refine. On a migration project with a stack of paper forms to digitise, that is a real head start rather than a novelty. The AI step itself runs on a cloud AI service, so the prompt or document you give it leaves your tenant even though your form data does not.
Internal and public, one platform
Forms365 Workspace handles the internal list form your staff use. Forms 365 Web publishes forms anyone can submit with no Microsoft account, still writing to SharePoint. If you need both jobs covered, that is two products from one vendor that both write to SharePoint, rather than bolting on an unrelated tool.
Where Forms 365 is the wrong answer
Two cases, stated plainly so you do not waste a trial finding out. If you need forms on an on-premises SharePoint Server farm, Forms 365 targets SharePoint Online only. And if what you actually want is a broad process-automation platform rather than good forms, we do not have a workflow engine. Submissions land as list items, and a Power Automate flow on that list carries on from there.
How to actually decide
Comparison pages, ours included, are worth less than twenty minutes with your own form. Take the one that gives your team the most trouble and rebuild it in whichever products are on your shortlist. On pricing, check each vendor's own current page rather than a third-party summary, and ours is on the pricing page.

Common questions
Is Forms 365 a good alternative to Infowise Ultimate Forms?
Compare them if you want an Australian team behind the product. The other differences are AI-assisted form building and getting both form jobs from one vendor. Infowise is an established product with a broad feature set, so if it already fits, staying put is reasonable.
Both are pitched as InfoPath replacements. What is the difference?
Both replace the SharePoint list form InfoPath used to handle. Forms 365 deploys inside your Microsoft 365 tenant as an SPFx solution with no Power Apps licence, and writes submissions to your own lists. It also has a separate product for public forms that people can submit without a Microsoft account.
Does Forms 365 work on on-premises SharePoint?
No. Forms 365 targets SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 only. If you need forms on an on-premises SharePoint Server farm, Forms 365 is not the right tool.
